
India’s GSLV Rocket Deploys $1.5 B NASA-ISRO NISAR Earth Radar Satellite
An Indian Space Research Organisation GSLV rocket on Wednesday successfully placed the $1.5 billion NASA-ISRO NISAR synthetic aperture radar satellite into orbit. The first-of-its-kind mission will deliver open-access Earth observations, scanning the planet twice every 12 days to advance climate change research and natural disaster monitoring.
