‘Miracle on the Hudson’ pilot Sully Sullenberger discloses early-stage Alzheimer’s diagnosis
Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, the US Airways captain who landed Flight 1549 on New York’s Hudson River in 2009, says he has been diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease. The 75-year-old plans to use his public voice to encourage other families coping with the condition.
