Drone sightings force overnight halt at Munich Airport; 17 flights canceled
Munich Airport suspended operations overnight on October 2 after multiple drone sightings in NATO airspace prompted German air traffic control (DFS) to restrict flights from 22:18 (UTC+1). The closure canceled 17 departures, affected about 3,000 passengers and forced diversions to Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Vienna and Frankfurt; services resumed next morning.
