Peru’s interim government has postponed its $3.5 billion F-16 Block 70 acquisition following the resignations of the defense and foreign ministers, exposing internal disputes over the contract’s transparency and cost assumptions. The US ambassador warned the offer “could not be the same tomorrow,” warning delays will raise the final price.
