Hubble confirms first starless, hydrogen-rich 'relic' — nicknamed Cloud‑9 — a dark‑matter‑dominated failed galaxy

Using the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope, astronomers have confirmed the first starless, hydrogen‑rich, dark‑matter‑dominated relic — nicknamed "Cloud‑9" — a remnant of early galaxy formation. The detection of this RELHIC constrains models of galaxy assembly and provides a new observational probe of dark matter.
