House Appropriators back $1.55B to revive Boeing E-7 Wedgetail, despite White House budget-office funding maneuver
The House Appropriations Committee included $1.55 billion in its FY2027 defense bill to restart the Boeing E-7 Wedgetail program. The White House Office of Management and Budget proposed reallocating funds from Navy and an Air Force classified line to pull the E-7 back from “dead,” but the move to withdraw from Navy accounts was largely stopped.
