A privately owned Cessna Citation II business jet crashed around 3:45 a.m. PT on May 22 while on approach to Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport in San Diego, killing all onboard and sparking fires in at least 15 homes in the Murphy Canyon neighborhood. Around 100 residents were displaced, though all fatalities occurred aboard the aircraft.
