Unidentified drones force brief shutdown of Munich Airport; 17 flights cancelled, operations resume next morning
Munich Airport briefly halted operations late on Oct. 2 after multiple unidentified drone sightings prompted German air traffic control (DFS) to restrict flights from 22:18 (UTC+1). The overnight closure cancelled 17 flights and affected about 3,000 passengers—with 15 flights diverted—before service resumed the following morning.
