Medevac helicopter crashes off Catalina Island, killing three

A Reach Air Medical Services helicopter crashed into the Pacific shortly after takeoff from Catalina Island, killing two crewmembers and a patient. Two other people survived and were recovering from injuries; the helicopter came to rest in about 240 feet of water, and the NTSB is investigating the cause.
