Avelo Airlines will begin operations from McKinney National Airport near Dallas later this autumn, debuting five routes, including service from North Dallas to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa. The new airport is set to add a third scheduled passenger option for the Dallas–Fort Worth area as carriers continue expanding their nonstop networks in key Florida markets.
