
PM Modi inaugurates Navi Mumbai International Airport (₹19,650 crore) to ease Mumbai capacity crunch
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Navi Mumbai International Airport, a greenfield, Adani-developed project built at a cost of ₹19,650 crore (about $2.2bn). The airport opens to relieve chronic congestion at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and complements Jewar in India's twin-airport strategy.
