Air India board to review losses, cost cuts and CEO succession as jet-fuel spike and airspace constraints drive ~100 flight/day

Air India is cutting roughly 100 flights per day across domestic and international routes through July, citing soaring jet-fuel costs and airspace issues that are making parts of its long-haul network unprofitable. The carrier plans further June–July schedule trims and will hold a May 7 board meeting to assess FY26 financials, approve cost-saving measures and consider CEO succession.
