Etihad Airways is nearing an expanded widebody order with Boeing and Airbus that could total up to 100 aircraft, with reports pointing to an initial announcement covering 10 Boeing 787 Dreamliners as early as the Farnborough Airshow. Separately, Philippine Airlines is said to be planning 20 widebody jets—10 Boeing 787s and 10 Airbus A350s—its first Boeing purchase since 2007.
