PNG Air to replace ageing DHC-8-100s with three ATR42-600s leased from landowners; Ok Tedi Mining will contract the aircraft

Three Papua New Guinea landowner companies have acquired three ATR42-600s and will lease them to PNG Air at Port Moresby, per a government release. The aircraft will be contracted to holding company Ok Tedi Mining and are intended to replace PNG Air’s ageing DHC-8-100 fleet as part of a landowner-participation and connectivity upgrade.
