
Air Canada Flight Attendants Reject Arbitration, Set Stage for Aug. 16 Strike
The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), representing over 10,000 flight attendants at Air Canada and Rouge, has declined the airline’s binding arbitration proposal after talks stalled. Unless a settlement emerges by Aug. 13, CUPE could issue a 72-hour strike notice, potentially grounding most flights from Aug. 16.
