U.S. DOT proposes ban on Chinese carriers' use of Russian airspace for China–U.S. services
The U.S. Department of Transportation has proposed banning Chinese airlines from using Russian airspace on routes between China and the United States, citing an unfair competitive advantage. The rule would bar affected carriers from utilising Russian overflight rights for passenger and combination services on China–U.S. sectors.
