India Mandates Fuel Switch Inspections on Boeing 737 and 787 Jets After Dreamliner Crash

India’s DGCA has ordered operators to inspect cockpit fuel control switches across 737 and 787 fleets following preliminary findings that kerosene supply shut off caused last month’s Air India 787 crash. The FAA and Boeing, however, maintain the 787’s fuel cutoff switch design meets safety standards as carriers ramp up checks.
