Fuel-cost surge splits airline results as Cebu Pacific, Wizz Air and Copa fall while Cathay profits
Higher jet-fuel prices pushed Cebu Pacific into a loss, drove Wizz Air to an €183.3 million operating loss and cut Copa Holdings’ second-quarter profit by more than half. Cathay Group nevertheless lifted first-half profit to HK$6.2 billion, while its A350 freighter deliveries face a six-month delay.
