UK start-up Global Airlines on May 15 operated its inaugural commercial Airbus A380 transatlantic flight, departing Glasgow’s runway 05 shortly after 11:30 and landing at New York JFK at 12:53 local time under a Portuguese wet-lease arrangement, carrying fewer than 100 passengers.
