Airlines are using long‑range A321 variants to open and right‑size thin transatlantic markets while experimenting with cabin mixes: Iberia launched Madrid–Newark with the A321XLR (Avios lie‑flat pricing from 40,500), and Etihad reconfigured its A321LR—dropping business seats, adding economy and retaining first‑class.
