Sentinel‑6B launched on Falcon 9 from Vandenberg to extend decades‑long sea‑level record
The Copernicus Sentinel‑6B oceanography satellite, built by Airbus for European and NASA partners, launched 17 November 2025 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Vandenberg Space Force Base. Sentinel‑6B will carry high‑precision instruments to continue a decades‑long global sea‑level record and map sea‑surface height over more than 90% of Earth’s oceans.
