Planned LEO megaconstellations could severely degrade Hubble and other space telescopes, NASA study finds

A NASA study and simulations warn that an exponential surge of low‑Earth‑orbit satellites — with more than half a million launches planned by the late 2030s — will produce optical "light pollution" that can severely degrade Hubble‑class images and undermine space‑based astronomy across multiple observatories.
