Pentagon to mass-produce low-cost cruise and hypersonic missiles via framework deals with Anduril, Leidos and others
The Pentagon announced new framework agreements to rapidly field 10,000 low-cost cruise missiles, alongside a plan to buy 500 hypersonic missiles annually, with expanded procurement industrial timelines. Deals with Anduril, CoAspire, Leidos and Zone 5 launch the Low Cost Containerization Munitions Program (LCCMP), while the service also moves forward on the Blackbeard hypersonic strike weapon.
