Rocket Lab to acquire Iridium Communications for $8B to build an end-to-end space services platform
Rocket Lab has agreed to buy Iridium Communications for $8 billion, framing the deal as a “logical next step” toward becoming an end-to-end space company and expanding into the lucrative space services market. The acquisition would give Rocket Lab control of a satellite fleet and access to wireless resources to compete with SpaceX.
