TSA moves to terminate 2024 collective bargaining agreement for 47,000 screeners, suspends union

The Transportation Security Administration has moved to terminate the 2024 collective bargaining agreement covering roughly 47,000 screening officers and has again suspended their union despite a federal judge's order. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said the CBA will be rescinded and a new labor framework takes effect Jan. 11, 2026.
