FAA issues NOTAMs warning of military activity and GPS interference over Mexico, Central and South America
On Jan. 16, 2026 the FAA issued NOTAMs urging airlines to exercise caution — and where possible alter or avoid — flights over Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and parts of Central and South America, citing uncoordinated military activity and reports of GPS interference that could degrade navigation systems and flight safety.
