Air India moves to shrink international network as fuel costs and Iran-war airspace restrictions worsen losses

Air India is progressively suspending and reducing international flying from June as high ATF prices and tightening airspace constraints make more long-haul routes unviable. The carrier has also begun filing reservation/inventory changes for June–August 2026, signaling frequency cuts, alongside discussions of cost actions including potential furloughs and executive pay reductions for 2026.
