Ryanair warns of “armageddon” fuel-supply risk but says hedging and easing Strait of Hormuz disruption reduce near-term Jet fuel
Ryanair’s CFO said the airline is planning for an “armageddon situation” amid Europe-wide sensitivity to Jet fuel disruptions, while warning weaker ticket prices in summer could pressure weaker carriers. The airline also said fuel-shortage risk is receding as Strait of Hormuz conditions improve and its hedging policy “largely insulates” European operations.
