U.S. DOT proposes ban on Chinese carriers using Russian airspace for China–U.S. services
The U.S. Department of Transportation has proposed prohibiting Chinese airlines from using Russian airspace on passenger and combination services between China and the United States, arguing the shorter routings give Chinese carriers a commercial advantage. The rule would bar several carriers from operating China–U.S. services via Russia.
