British Airways will resume nonstop London–Melbourne services on 9 January 2027 after a roughly 20‑year hiatus as part of a wider winter 2026 long‑haul expansion that increases capacity by about 9%. The carrier is also adding Colombo and boosting Tokyo Haneda–Heathrow to two daily rotations using A350‑1000s and 787‑9s.
