Vertical Aerospace launches battery pilot production at 15,000 sq ft Vertical Energy Centre

Vertical has moved from design and flight demonstrators to manufacturing validation: an operational pilot line at the 15,000 sq ft Vertical Energy Centre is a tangible step toward industrialising Valo’s battery supply chain and validating systems needed for type certification (Valo program).

The pilot line is explicitly intended to support certification aircraft and a planned scale-up in 2028, reducing reliance on external suppliers and aligning production capability with recent test and market moves, including public demonstrations and transition-flight progress (Miami showcase, first full piloted transition flight) and Vertical’s commercial route timetable (UK route target).
