Spain starts replacing CN-235 VIGMA with first Airbus C295 SAR/MSA for Wing 46 in the Canaries

Airbus Defence & Space delivered the first of eight C295 Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) configured for search-and-rescue (SAR) to the Spanish Air and Space Force on 24 June 2026.
