Spain signs €2.6bn deal with Türkiye for 30 Hürjet advanced trainers

Spain has signed a contract with Türkiye for 30 Hürjet advanced jet trainers valued at about €2.6 billion, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2028. Airbus Defence & Space will deliver the jets via a consortium with Turkish Aerospace, replacing Spain’s F‑5s and positioning Türkiye as a NATO high‑tech supplier.
