National Academies urges FAA to formally oversee airline crew radiation exposure via improved tracking
A new National Academies report says today’s in-flight crew radiation measuring, monitoring, and education are insufficient. It argues the FAA already has adequate science and operational tools to begin formal oversight of airline crews’ radiation exposure, including moving toward systematic tracking.
