Germany signs Tranche 5 contract for 20 Eurofighter Typhoons; deliveries 2031–34

Germany has formally signed a Tranche 5 contract for 20 Eurofighter Typhoons on Oct. 15, confirming an acquisition plan announced in mid‑2024. Airbus will build the jets at its Manching assembly plant; deliveries are scheduled 2031–2034 to replace part of the ageing Tornado fleet.
