Boeing design work to repurpose decommissioned hardpoints to boost B-1B external hypersonic missile capacity

Boeing engineers are advancing design efforts to repurpose decommissioned weapons stations on the B-1B Lancer for the US Air Force. External hardpoints on the bomber’s lower fuselage could then support carriage of long-range hypersonic missiles, expanding the aircraft’s weapons capacity without building new station architecture.
