Avio to build U.S. solid rocket motor plant to supply Raytheon and Lockheed Martin

Avio will establish a U.S. solid rocket motor (SRM) manufacturing facility to serve Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, the Italian rocket-maker said, after signing an MoU with Raytheon and a non-binding term sheet with Lockheed. The plant is intended to operate as a vertically integrated merchant supplier to U.S. defence customers.
